Jökulsárlón, a stunning glacial lake in Iceland, has become a destination for many tourists and Hollywood movies. It is located at the head of the Breiðamerkurjökull glacier and was formed in 1948 when the glacier started retreating from the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. It now covers an area of over 18 km2 and is one of the deepest lakes in Iceland. Visitors to Jökulsárlón can experience the beauty of vast ice-fields, large outwash plains, and wildlife such as Arctic Skuas and seals. Its picturesque views are unlike any other place on earth, making it an ideal destination for travellers and filmmakers alike.
