Ytri Tunga is a beach located on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula in Iceland that offers visitors an array of activities. The beach is renowned for its golden sand, rather than black like most Icelandic beaches. It's also a great spot for watching seals - whether just off shore or relaxing on the rocks - they can be seen here all year round, especially during the summer months. Seal watchers will spot Harbour Seals, Grey Seals, Hooded Seals, and Ringed Seals at Ytri Tunga. Visitors can also explore nearby attractions such as Olkelda, Bjarnarfoss Waterfall, Budir, Budahraun Lava Fields and Grundarfoss Waterfall. With a plethora of activities, Ytri Tunga is a great place to enjoy some culture, nature and beautiful scenery.
