Breathtaking! The peaks reach up to 454 meters and the steep cliffs and black sand beaches surrounding the stunning lagoon make for a stunning natural beauty. It's a little less touristy than other mountains in Iceland, which makes it a popular spot for photographers. The Stokksnes peninsula also has a rich history, dating back to the 9th Century, and was even a crucial location for the British army during World War Two. It's just over an hour's drive from Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon and close to Vatnajökull glacier. However, the beach at Stokksnes is private and has a small entrance fee. Overall, Vestrahorn is a natural wonder and a great place to experience the isolated and beautiful charm of Iceland.
