Pisa International Airport is the main airport in Tuscany, and the 10th busiest in Italy. Named after Galileo Galilei - the famous scientist from Pisa, it was originally developed for military use in the 1930s and 1940s, before being opened up to civilian passengers in the 1950s. Today, it has 16 gates and offers flights to many European cities, as well as further afield destinations. With a brand new Pisa Mover shuttle service, direct to the nearby central railway station, it’s easier than ever to jet off to your dream destination.
