We stumbled upon Inatsutsumi-jinja by accident while hiking. The mountain Inatsutsumiyama has been worshiped as a local deity and this shrine is located at the entrance of the Mt. Inashi mountain trail. Ina Tsutsumi is the god of rice and rice fields.

I always have a special fondness for forgotten places deep in the woods. These places hold a special magic for me. Climb the steep steps and make a prayer in front of the main shrine before you continue on your way.
