If you like tofu and authentic Japanese cuisine, this is the place for you.

Nestled inside a stunning Japanese garden complete with a tiny stream, bridge, and perfectly manicured trees, Tokyo Shiba Tofuya Ukai is a Japanese kaiseki restaurant that specializes in homemade Tofu.

Entering this place feels like a trip back in time to the old Edo times of Tokyo with matching interior inside a 200-year old sake brewery. This is not something you go for a quick dinner, this is an authentic Japanese tasting experience. They had a complete plant-based menu when I went in autumn 2023 but make sure to inquire beforehand as their tasting menus change with the seasons.
