On a hot, sunny day, Kai Iwi Lakes would be the place to be, absolute perfection! These stunning freshwater sand lakes are the ultimate spot for a chilled-out day. And yep, you read that right: freshwater! So no salty hair, sticky skin, or any of that business, just clear, clean water that feels amazing.

With their crystal-clear waters and gorgeous sandy shores, the lakes are perfect for swimming, picnicking, or just basking in the sun. Unfortunately, when I visited, the weather wasn’t playing nice, so my photos don’t even come close to showing how beautiful this place really is.

Regardless whether you’re unwinding with a good book on the shore, splashing around in the cool water, or just soaking up the vibes, Kai Iwi Lakes has something for everyone. Definitely put it on your list.
