  • Location: Park at the end of Rapata Road

  • Route: Walk over rocks and head towards the beach on your right (approx. 45 min walk)

  • Best time: Visit at low tide for the best experience

  • GPS Coordinates of rockpool: 35°23'53.7"S 174°21'10.4"E

'There are also a number of stunning coastal walks. You can either head north to Ohawini Bay, continuing up the Whangaruru Harbour as far as the tide will allow; or alternatively head south making your way around the rocks or walking down a track from the top of Rapata Road.
