How to Import a PDF Template into Canva

Canva is a convenient online tool for creating designs and visual documents. While Canva doesn't directly support importing PDF files as templates, you can still use a PDF as a basis to create your own design in Canva. Follow these steps to import the PDF template into Canva:

Step 1: Create a Canva Account

Go to the Canva website (www.canva.com) if you don't already have an account. Sign up for free using your email address or your Google or Facebook account.

Step 2: Create a New Design

Once logged in to Canva, click the "Create a design" button in the top right corner of the homepage.

Step 3: Choose Dimensions

Select the dimensions for your project. Here 455 mm x 316 mm ( for A4 book on coollibri)

Step 4: Import the PDF

In the left menu, click on "Elements." Then, drag the "Upload" element onto your workspace.

Step 5: Upload the PDF Template

Click the "Upload" button and select your PDF file from your computer. Canva will import the PDF and display it on your workspace.

Step 6: Customize Your Design

Now that you've imported the PDF, you can add text, images, shapes, colors, and other elements to customize your design as needed.

Step 7: Save and Download

When you've finished customizing your design, click the "Download" button in the top right to save your creation in your desired format (e.g., PDF, PNG, JPEG).

That's it! You have now imported a PDF template into Canva and customized your design.

This is only the book cover. The size of the cover depends on the site on which you order your photo book. For my part, I made the cover and the inside of the book separately, the photos in the book being in A4 format (again, this depends on your site and the design of the book you choose, you'll have all instructions on the website that you choose).
