Dettifoss is a badass waterfall located in Vatnajökull National Park in Northeast Iceland. It's known for being the second most powerful waterfall in Europe, right after the Rhine Falls. This beast of a waterfall is fed by the Jökulsá á Fjöllum river, which gets its water from the massive Vatnajökull glacier. The water is all greyish white and looks pretty damn cool. Dettifoss is 100 meters wide and drops a whopping 44 meters down into the Jökulsárgljúfur canyon. It's also the second largest waterfall in Iceland in terms of volume discharge, with an average flow rate of 193 m³/s. So yeah, it's pretty freaking impressive. You can check out Dettifoss on the west side via Route 862, which is open year-round, or on the east side via an older gravel road (Route 864) that's usually only passable in the summer. Either way, you're in for a wild ride.
