I stumbled upon Boiling Down Beach while trying to find a secluded campsite that was sheltered from the wind, and let me tell you—I was in awe of this spot! Not sure if it’s actually a designated campsite, but it’s very tucked away, and I had zero company (which is exactly what I was after).
You do need a 4WD to get in because the sand gets pretty soft, but I didn’t even have to drop the tyre pressure. I dropped a pin right where I camped, and it was pure bliss—just the sound of the ocean and no reception (so prepare for an actual digital detox).
The best part? You can walk over the dunes straight to the beach, making it the perfect spot for sunset or a morning swim. Nothing better than rolling out of bed and jumping into the ocean—absolute magic.
I think this area is part of or near a conservation park, so definitely be respectful of the surroundings. Probably not pet-friendly, but it’s so remote that it’s worth checking if you’re planning to bring a furry mate. Either way, this place is a dream for anyone chasing a proper off-grid escape!
