The eggs in Gledivík are outdoor artworks by Sigurð Guðmundsson, one of Iceland's foremost artists. There are 34 replicas of the eggs of the same number of nesting birds in Djúpavog district. The largest is the loon, but the loon is the symbol of the municipality.
