Zpráva od Hello Mallory

The Crystal Mill, also known as the Old Mill, is a historic wooden powerhouse perched above the Crystal River in Crystal, Colorado. Built in 1892, it was originally used as a compressor station to power nearby silver mines with compressed air.

Can be accessed from both Marble and Crested Butte. From Visit Crested Butte website:

SUV recommended: From the Town of Crested Butte, take Gothic Road (Route 135) north a total of 15.6 miles. You'll pass the ski resort and drive over into the Gothic valley, past the old mining town of Gothic. Take the dirt road up in elevation as it turns a bit rough closer to Emerald lake and over Schofield Pass. Keep driving past the West Maroon Trailhead through an open meadow until you get to a parking area near the South Fork Crystal River.

Hiking is approximately 7 miles RT from the suggested parking area from CB.

It is free to photograph from the road, however if you want to descend, the cost is $10.

You will need high-clearance and a 4x4 to access this location.
