Getting to Jackson Hole

There are several convenient ways to reach Jackson Hole, whether you’re arriving by air or driving on a scenic road trip.

1. Flying into Jackson Hole Airport (JAC)
   The easiest and most direct way to get to Jackson Hole is by flying into the Jackson Hole Airport (JAC), which is located just 15 minutes north of the town of Jackson. This airport offers seasonal direct flights from major cities across the U.S., including Denver, Dallas, Salt Lake City, and more. The airport’s proximity to both Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park makes it an ideal entry point for visitors. Once you arrive, you'll be just a short drive away from the town and outdoor adventures. Po trip: do your best to get seats on the D-E-F side of the airplane (right hand side if facing the flight deck) for the best views of the Tetons while landing.

2. Flying into Salt Lake City (SLC) or Idaho Falls (IDA)
   If flights to Jackson Hole are limited or more expensive, you can also fly into nearby Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), located about 4.5 hours south of Jackson, or Idaho Falls Regional Airport (IDA), about 1.5 hours west. From either airport, you can rent a car and enjoy a scenic drive through the beautiful landscapes of the western U.S.

3. Road Trip from Bozeman (BOZ) to Jackson Hole
   For those looking for a memorable multi-day road trip, another popular option is flying into Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BOZ) in Montana and driving south to Jackson Hole through Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. The drive takes approximately 5 hours (about 250 miles) and takes you through the stunning landscapes of the Rocky Mountains and Yellowstone's northern entrance. This is also a great option for travelers who want to experience both Yellowstone and Jackson Hole, and it allows you to fly out of Jackson Hole Airport (JAC) on your return journey.
