Zpráva od mattberthou

Dyrhólaey is the southernmost point of the island. Dyrhólaey is a protected nature reserve. It is a paradise for birds, especially puffins, which come to nest there in May and June. Access to the site is restricted during this period but is open again in July. From the top of the cliffs one has an expansive view of the black sand beaches stretching west towards Selfoss and east to the black lava needles of Reynisdrangar near Vík.

from road 1, take road 218 to get there. There are many holes in the road going up to Dyrholaey
