Zpráva od Francesco Meola

Ponte Sant'Angelo is a renowned Roman bridge spanning the magnificent Tiber river in Rome. It was constructed in 134 AD by Roman Emperor Hadrian to connect his newly constructed mausoleum (now known as Castel Sant'Angelo) with the rest of Rome. The bridge is composed of five arches, made up of travertine marble and experienced significant modifications over the centuries.

Today, the bridge stands as a popular tourist destination providing beautiful views of the castle and serving as a pedestrian-only bridge. Adorning the bridge are 10 angels along the parapet, each of which has its own unique symbolism - all designed by Gian Lorenzo Bernini and his son Paolo. Visitors today can walk across the stunning bridge and admire the spectacular view of Rome.

One of my favourite spots to see St Peter's Basilica and enjoy a beautiful sunset in Rome.
