When to visit Buenos Aires

Buenos Aires is a great city to visit at any time of the year depending on your preferences.

JANUARY TO MARCH: Summer brings intense heat and humidity to Buenos Aires -this is the rainiest season. If you're visiting during this time, it's a good idea to book a hotel with air conditioning and a pool. The upside is the long days, with the sun setting around 8 p.m., and the vibrant cultural scene.

APRIL AND MAY: Autumn is a very pleasant time to stroll around Buenos Aires, with mild temperatures during the day and a chill in the air at night. It's definitely one of the best times to visit Buenos Aires.

JUNE TO SEPTEMBER: Winter in Buenos Aires is dry and cold. Minimum temperatures range around 8°C, with maximums around 15°C. September tends to be slightly warmer. It's a good season to spend plenty of time indoors at tango shows, museums, restaurants, cafes, and wine bars.

OCTOBER TO DECEMBER: During these months, the weather becomes more pleasant. It's perfect for biking tours, dining on terraces and balconies, and enjoying the parks. If you're going in the end of December, keep in mid that, on Christmas Day, it's hard to find places open. There aren't big New Year's celebrations in the city, just a small fireworks display in Puerto Madero.
