The Passadiço das Fragas de São Simão is located in the municipality of Figueiró dos Vinhos, next to the village Casal de São Simão, which is part of the network of Schist Villages of Serra da Lousã and is very close to Fragas de São Simão.

The entire route is well identified. Still, the easiest way to get there, regardless of where you are coming from, is to take the A13 and exit at Avelar. Continue along the IC8 towards Castelo Branco, exiting at the Aguda/Fato exit. Once there, follow the municipal road (EM525) until you reach the village of Casal de São Simão or Miradouro das Fragas de São Simão.

You can start the trail in three different locations: in the Casal de São Simão village, at Praia Fluvial das Fragas de São Simão (middle of the trail), or at the Fragas de São Simão viewpoint. If you don't have mobility problems, it doesn't matter if you do it. the complete trail (round trip), starting at either end. In both cases, the route to be taken will always be in the shape of a “V”, with the river beach in the middle of the way, at the bottom of the valley.
