Waimarama Beach is a beautiful destination located in Hawkes Bay, New Zealand. The long stretch of golden sandy beach makes it ideal for walking, picnicking, surfing and of course photography.

Waimarama is 20 minutes' drive from Havelock North, past the spectacular Craggy Range winery. Some permanent residents live here, but overall Waimarama is a popular weekender and picnic venue.

Photography Info: Bare Island, a small island that sits off the beach, makes for a great focal point and at sunset it is bathed in the suns golden light before it dips below the horizon. I would suggest taking your wide angle lens and some ND filters to slow down the waves.
