This is what you should expect when they tell you “I know a spot”.

This is one of the most amazing pic-nic spots I can think of. It’s located very near the city of Veria, in north Greece. You can locate it by using the pin on the Rexby map. If you use Google maps, it will take you there. You will need to park the car on the side of the road and then walk for around 30 seconds. This spot is right above the narrows of river Haliacmon (Αλιάκμονας in Greek), the longest river in the country. The mountains you see around are Vermio and the Pierian Mountains, neighbouring legendary Mt Olympus.

Better visit or during week days as it can be a little busy on weekends.
