Hike
2-3h
Fish Lake offers rewarding alpine views with little effort compared to other hikes in the Yukon. I love this hike because it's close to town but makes you feel like you totally remote. This trail is well used throughout the winter by locals so it's normally pretty packed. You can get away with hiking in winter boots or hiking boots and for extra traction you could thrown on some spikes. Since you're in the alpine it can sometimes get very windy up there!

📍 Directions
*** Parking** - The pin in the map is where you should park in the winter! You will want to park at Fish Lake to avoid getting your car stuck in snow. You will continue on foot to the trailhead, which is further down the Fish Lake Road, it will start to narrow and is unmaintained.
*** Trailhead** - The trailhead is 600m from the Fish Lake Parking lot further down the Fish Lake Road. You will see and infomation at the trailhead.
*** The Hike** - The trail starts in the trees and will quickly start gaining elevation. You will continue up some mellow switchbacks and will pop up above the tree line. From there you will conitinue hiking up towards the ridge where you will get panoramic views. Once you're up there you can really just explore around wherever.
📲 Cell Service is spotty in the area, I wouldn't rely on having it
