This area known as the Whitepass is located on the Candian/US Border. It has panoromic mountain with snowcapped mountains. Because it's so high your actually in the alpine and can explore practically anywhere from the road. Go for a dip in one of the alpine lakes if you're brave enough, it's cold! There tends to be quite a bit of snow until June. In the winter it's a popular place for backcountry skiing and snowmobiling.

If you choose to go past the border you need to have your passport with you! The Canadian and US border is actually spread apart from each other and has a section of "no-mans land" in between because of how challenging it is to build in the mountains.
