In central Greece and the Peloponnese, you will find many toll roads; it is almost impossible to travel through without paying tolls.

The system is simple: you drive through a gate, receive a ticket, and when you leave the toll zone, you pay by cash or card. Prices are around €2–€3 per zone; the Charilaos Trikoupis Bridge zone is around €10–€12, depending on the vehicle.
