Welcome to the Christmas store! The German shop of the Wolfhart family immediately immerses you in the magical Christmas atmosphere. There are only a few stores spread across Germany, Belgium, France, the United Kingdom, the United States, and now, Spain. Since November 6, 2019, Barcelona has its own Käthe Wolfhart store. If there isn't a long line, I recommend taking a look inside or coming back on a weekday just after opening time (10:00).

What is the story behind the Christmas store? The success of this store began with a music box given as a Christmas gift. The couple Wilhelm and Käthe wanted a specific music box, but after the Christmas season, they couldn't find it anymore. After much searching, they found a supplier who still had ten, but they had to sell them. He went door to door selling these music boxes until the police prohibited him from doing so. More and more people wanted these music boxes, so in 1968, the couple decided to open their own store. In the German city of Rothenburg stands the 'fantasy factory,' where all the products are conceived and made. That's how the store became famous.
