For some, food in Japan is THE REASON to visit the country and we now know why! Even if you don't eat non vegetarian food there are plenty of options and local delicacies you must indulge in!

A. Vegan and Vegetarian:

Its a bit tricky with veg food in Japan, but I highly recommend printing out the vegan/veg card or making your version which doesn't exclude dairy (based on your preferences). Many dishes include dashi (fish broth) so best to be clear on your requirements with the staff and the cards help with that. Having said all that, here are some veg restaurant recommendations!
