Slåttheia (690 moh) – Southeast Side, Grytøya (KAST 2)
When there is enough snow and the right conditions, Slåttheia offers excellent skiing. This is a great peak for beginners, as most avalanche terrain is avoided on this route.
Parking & Access
You can park your car at Dale, but it’s advisable to check with landowners regarding parking availability and location.
Route Description
From Dale, follow the summer trail toward Storvannet and turn west when the terrain levels out. After passing elevation 342, begin ascending the large southeast-facing slope. The descent follows the same route as the ascent.
Skiing & Terrain
The descent features slopes between 20–30 degrees, making it a great choice for those looking for a fun and relatively safe ski tour.
