You’d think that with 2 million people just 30 minutes away from Teine's day lodge that the resort would be tracked… Think again.
The best part about this resort is the quickness of laps - by far the fastest we found anywhere in Japan- and having no lift lines is also a good thing.
Sapporo Teine Ski Area is an excellent ski destination located near Sapporo City in Hokkaido, Japan. The mountain is steeped in history as it played host to the 1972 Winter Olympic Games and still has many of the original artifacts from the event. The slopes offer something for everyone, with easy runs for beginners and challenging terrain for more experienced skiers and snowboarders. With 1,023 meters of vertical drop, night skiing and spectacular views of the Sapporo city, it's no wonder that this area remains a favorite among those seeking some local shred spots.
