At Pearl Miki, you can grab an oyster straight out of the water yourself and open it up to see what kind of pearl you get—it's genuinely exciting to see what's waiting inside!
You can eat the fresh, edible parts of the oyster right then and there. Whatever you can't eat doesn't go to waste either; you get to feed it to the pufferfish swimming around—an unexpectedly fun part of the experience.
The owner is really friendly and welcoming, and she'll even turn your pearl into a nice piece of jewelry right away, so you'll have something special to take home.
