Niagara Falls is actually made up of three waterfalls—Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls.

You can see the falls from the American side in New York or cross over into Ontario, Canada for a view from the other side. Having seen this waterfall from just about every angle, I can tell you that the Canadian side is a million times nicer than the American side, so it's definitely worth crossing the border if you can.

Additionally, there are various ways to explore the falls, such as boat tours, observation decks, and hiking trails that get you up close and personal with this natural wonder.

How much time you spend here depends on the activities you choose and if you want to hang around and do any shopping. If you just stop to view the falls, you only need about 30 minutes.
