The Seilpark Braunwald is a fun ropes climbing park for families, nestled in the stunning Glarus Alps. They offer four obstacle courses featuring creative obstacles and zip lines up to 110m long.

Two courses are suitable for ages 8+ and the other two for small children aged 4+ (min grip height 140cm).

Compared to other ropes parks in Switzerland, this one is a bit small and slightly geared more towards children, with more easier obstacles. But still really fun and good choice for families.

How to get there

The ropes park is on the mountain at the Grötzenbüel gondola station.

To get there, you start by riding the Linthal-Braunwald funicular up to the alpine village. Then a short walk to the Hüttenberg-Grötzenbüel gondola, which you ride up the mountain. The gondola drops you at the restaurant. The ropes park is just past the restaurant terrace.

Open: mid June to late October. Daily 10:00 to 16:00

Costs

If you are visiting Braunwald for the day, you can purchase your mountain railway tickets together with the ropes park fee. If you are already in Braunwald, you pay a bit less.

In 2024, this costs CHF 45/adult, CHF 35/child. This includes 3 hours in the rope park and your safety equipment rental. They offer a family discount.
