This funicular train travels between the lakeside at Beatenbucht up to the mountain village Beatenberg. From there, you transfer to a gondola for the remaining journey to the Niederhorn viewpoint.
The funicular departs every 20 mins, carrying 90 passengers. The journey time is about 6-10 mins.

How to get there
By bus: From Interlaken Ost, Bahnhof, ride bus 121 to Beatenbucht. Travel time 28 min. The bus runs about once an hour.
By boat: You can also ride a boat on Lake Thun to the Beatenbucht (See) stop. Free with STP. See boat schedule on bls-schiff.ch or SBB.ch
From Interlaken West (See), travel time 48 mins.
From Thun (See), travel time is 1h22.
By car: There is a parking garage across the street from the funicular station. It can fill up quickly on busy weekends, so best to arrive early.
Tickets
Usually you buy a Niederhorn ticket that includes both the funicular and gondola to reach the Niederhorn viewpoint.
If you are planning to hike, your ticket might be cheaper. Explain your plans at the ticket office so you get the correct ticket.
You can buy tickets at the ticket office when you arrive. It's not necessary to buy them in advance. See current prices.
