Brienzer Rothorn - a summit delivering breathtaking views in the Bernese Oberland. To get there you need to take a steam locomotive to reach the summit (Brienzer Rothorn Bahn) but after enjoying the panoramic views and some Swiss local dishes, you can challenge yourself a bit and choose the epic ridge trail down by foot (difficult and slightly dangerous hike so best for older kids and those with hiking experience) - 10.5km, around 5h, 840m descent. The end of the hike is Turren-Lungern cable car station.
