This entrance leads you straight into the heart of Aït Benhaddou, and honestly, it’s one of the most photogenic spots in the village. With its sunlit mudbrick walls, shady passageways, and little stalls selling handcrafted trinkets, it feels like stepping into a movie set.

Although the village is technically free to enter, you’ll likely be asked to pay an “unofficial” 20 MAD fee at the main gate. It’s not required by UNESCO—it’s collected by a local family—but many travelers just pay it as a small contribution. If you'd rather skip it, use this alternative entrance—we did, and no one asked for anything. Bonus: you can spend that 20 MAD on a snack or handmade souvenir inside instead!

Oh, and don’t be surprised if locals offer access to private rooftop views for 10 MAD or so. It’s usually worth it for the views—and hey, it's their home after all.

💡 Pro tip: Use this entrance if you want to dodge the gate fee and still get the full Aït Benhaddou experience!
