We didn’t expect to find one of our favorite spots in Morocco hidden among trees and sculptures—but that’s exactly what happened at Anima Garden. Created by the artist André Heller, this 3-hectare botanical escape is like walking through a dream—part garden, part open-air art museum, and completely magical.
Every path feels like a surprise. One moment you're surrounded by towering palms and wildflowers, and the next you're face-to-face with a giant, colorful mask or a surreal sculpture tucked into the greenery. It’s playful, weird (in the best way), and full of little details that make you want to slow down and just explore.
We loved how peaceful it felt, especially after the buzz of Marrakech. You can take your time wandering the garden paths, enjoy panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains, and even stop for a coffee or mint tea at their cute little café. It’s great for families, creatives, or honestly anyone who just needs a breath of fresh air and a dose of inspiration.
Anima is about a 30-minute drive from the city, and totally worth the trip—especially if you're craving something offbeat and immersive. Don’t rush it—this is the kind of place best enjoyed slowly, with open eyes and an open mind.
