Yes, traveling to Uzbekistan is safe, and now we explain why.

Because of the suffix -stan, the country is often associated with other less popular and dangerous destinations such as Afghanistan.

We always felt comfortable while traveling almost everywhere. Although it is not easy to communicate in English, the locals were always willing to help us if we needed it. That's right, Uzbeks are a very friendly and welcoming people.

When we walked the streets of Tashkent, we were struck by how modern and clean the city was. Everywhere we looked there were beautiful parks where families came to relax and sit in the shade of the trees.

In the subway or on the streets of Tashkent, young Uzbek students approached us because they wanted to practice their English, or to take pictures together (we felt important).

Many cities in Uzbekistan have tourist police dedicated to the safety of foreigners visiting the country. Definitely the most crowded places such as bazaars and metros you need to be careful.

Does terrorism exist in Uzbekistan?

Terrorist attacks have occurred in Uzbekistan in the past. On July 30, 2004, suicide bombers struck the entrances to the U.S. and Israeli embassies in Tashkent.

Ci siamo sempre sentiti a nostro agio durante il viaggio praticamente ovunque. Nonostante non sia facile comunicare in inglese i locali sono sempre stati disponibili ad aiutarci in caso di bisogno. Proprio così, gli uzbeki sono un popolo molto cordiale e accogliente

Quando abbiamo camminato per le strade di Tashkent , siamo rimasti colpiti da quanto fosse moderna e pulita la città. Ovunque guardassimo c'erano bellissimi parchi dove le famiglie venivano a rilassarsi e sedersi all'ombra degli alberi.

In metrò o per le strade di Tashkent, giovani studenti uzbeki si sono avvicinati a noi perché volevano praticare il loro inglese, oppure per scattare delle foto insieme (ci sentivamo importanti).
Molte città dell'Uzbekistan hanno una polizia turistica dedicata alla sicurezza degli stranieri che visitano il paese. Sicuramente i luoghi più affollati come i bazar e metrò è necessario prestare attenzione.

Esiste il terrorismo in Uzbekistan?

In passato si sono verificati attacchi terroristici in Uzbekistan. Il 30 luglio 2004 alcuni attentatori suicidi colpirono gli ingressi delle ambasciate americana e israeliana a Tashkent.
