Ulugh Bek is ruler and grandson of Tamerlane, as well as an internationally renowned astronomer and mathematician: he loved science, and his madrasa was the leading university of the time and the first to admit women as well. He himself taught in this madrasa, which bears decorations of stars and astronomical elements. The interior is very scenic even though it is mostly occupied by a bazaar. In addition there are also rooms dedicated to the figure of the astronomer.

Lui stesso insegnava in questa madrasa che riporta decorazioni di stelle e elementi astronomici. L’interno è molto scenografica anche se per lo più è occupato da un bazar. Inoltre vi sono anche dei locali dedicati alla figura dell’astronomo.
