The Sir William Wallace Memorial in London is a plaque located near the spot where the Scottish Independence leader was executed in 1305. Known for his role in the Wars of Scottish Independence and famously portrayed by Mel Gibson in "Braveheart," Wallace met a brutal end at the hands of the English. The memorial serves as a reminder of his sacrifice and the turbulent history between Scotland and England.
