Rowley Way, also known as the Alexandra Road Estate, is a housing estate in North London designed in a brutalist style by architect Neave Brown. Constructed between 1972 and 1978, it features 520 apartments along with a school, community center, youth club, heating complex, and parkland. The estate's unique layout includes terraced apartments aligned along railway tracks to block noise and vibration, creating a peaceful living environment. Despite facing criticism during its construction, Rowley Way was granted Grade II* listed status in 1993 and is considered one of the most distinguished post-war council housing estates in England.
