Shakespeare's Globe is a reconstruction of the original Globe Theatre, where William Shakespeare wrote his plays. It was built in 1997 to resemble the Elizabethan playhouse as closely as possible. The modern Globe hosts a variety of theatrical productions, with a thrust stage and raked seating just like the original. It also includes the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse for smaller indoor shows. The Globe is known for its authentic feel, using English oak and thatched roofs, creating a unique experience for both actors and audience members.
