This peaceful haven was once a summer retreat for the painter Jóhannes S. Kjarval, who found inspiration in the surrounding wilderness.

My friend took me to visit this place because she always loved stopping here and admire the view that this painter got to enjoy all those years ago. It's definitely a peaceful and beautiful place and just thinking about how someone lived there many years ago makes it very interesting as well.
