Until 2017, this was still part of the ring road. Nowadays, this gravel road is just the scenic route you can take if you like. The road in between this tiny house and Breiðdalsvík is a very windy ravel road.

In wintertime this is not accessible, but in summer it is a gorgeous drive with great views over the valley below.

Stefánsbúd is a tiny emergency shelter. Back in the days you would find many of these all over Iceland, but now most of them are not really taken care of. I think it's a nice place to stop and stretch your legs and enjoy the views (if it's not very foggy).
