Floe Lake is one of the most beautiful trails in Canadian Rockies that would certainly make it to our top 10, if not top 5 picks!

The trail is a part of multi-day backpacking trip called Rockwall (camping permits required), however Floe Lake is possible to do it as a day hike too as it's the first (or last) stop on this multi-day adventure. Though with over 20 km in lenght and almost 1000 meters of elevation gain, it makes for a long and challenging day.

We've had a chance to try both options - as a day hike as well as with one night at Floe Lake campground - and the second option was certainly better as we could split the trail into 2 days and enjoy sunrise and sunset at the lake which is so stunning.
