On a still day this clear shallow cove glows turquoise. Bring water shoes to easily climb the cliffs and jump into the water like a local

Further information: Crayfish Bay is a hidden gem located on the western coast of Coromandel in New Zealand. Sheltered waters and clear blue waters make it an ideal spot to relax and enjoy the sunny summer days. There are plenty of fun activities for people of all ages including swimming, snorkeling and rock jumping into the deep water. To get to Crayfish Bay, visitors must take a windy gravel road before climbing over a fence and walking down to the beach. Nearby accommodation is available in Opito Bay with holiday homes and camping options. Additionally, there are other nearby attractions including Waiau Falls and The Lost Spring in Whitianga. For a great day at the beach or some adventure, Crayfish Bay is definitely worth a visit.
