This historic town has a rich cultural heritage, dating back to the Roman period. A lot of Roman artefacts were found here but now, but now the town is mostly known for its Ottoman architrecture including a 16th century mosque and an 18th century fortress. Like in many Bosnian towns, you'll find churches and mosques right next to one another in the old town. Stolac is the perfect stop on the way between Mostar and Trebinje.
