As this is technically private property, you will need to reach out to info@anvilisland.ca to book before visiting Leading Peak. You will also have to book a water taxi to get here, which you can book through the links below. We paid $750 CAD roundtrip for 5 people (this may vary or change). It’s free to visit, but there is an option to donate to the property (which is a Bible Camp in the Summer time). This hike can be done in a day, but always give yourself more time to get up and back down, especially during the Summer months when it’s hot out. There’s only one water source halfway up, so please pack more water than you think.
Distance: 7.9 KM (4.9 Miles) roundtrip
Elevation Gain: 946m (3103 ft)
Difficulty: Moderate/Hard
Once you book the hike through the link provided, you can camp up here! There is only 1 wooden platform on Leading Peak, but it’s big enough for around 4-5 tents. However, we suggest visiting on a weekday if possible, as this hike is becoming quite popular in recent years.
