Message from Gemma, Off Track Travel

The Continental Divide marks the separation of two watersheds - all rivers flow to the Pacific Ocean on the west side and all rivers flow to the Atlantic on the east side. It's also the boundary between British Columbia and Alberta.

This parking area has some signage explaining the divide along with flags, washrooms and mountain views.

A Parks Canada parks pass is required to explore Kootenay National Park ($22/day for a vehicle of up to 7 people).
