The Olympic Museum in Lausanne is a must-see for all fans of the Olympics! Here, visitors have the opportunity to dive into the fascinating world of the Games and explore over 1,500 objects, 150 screens and 3,000m2 of exciting exhibition space.

The Museum is split into 3 levels, each unravelling the history of the original Greek Olympics, its modern day resumption, and the journey undertaken till its present form. The permanent exhibition is extraordinarily rich and highly informative, with a collection of all the Olympic torches dating back to the first Games, memorabilia, medals, costumes and equipments worn by actual Olympic athletes. I particularly enjoyed watching the well crafted, emotive videos of the torch lightings and the various opening ceremonies.

What made the museum stood out the most was its interactive games zone, where young and old alike can enjoy! Kids will definitely have good fun trying out the virtual winter Olympic sports.

The TOM cafe housed within the musuem also offers excellent brunch (reservations advised).

Open all year from Tuesday to Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Closed on Mondays (except public holidays in the Canton of Vaud), and on 24, 25, 31 December and 1 January.

Adults: CHF 20 Child (up to 15 years old), accompanied by an adult: FREE Senior citizen, student, person with disabilities:CHF 14
