One of the most breathtaking hikes in Norway is a trip to Trolltunga, situated 1,100 meters above sea level and hovering 700 meters above Lake Ringedalsvatnet. Travellers from all over come to experience this incredible hike, where they can witness spectacular views of the Hardangervidda mountain plateau and get a picture on or in front of the world-famous cliff. The round trip is 27 kilometres with an ascent of almost 800 metres, and takes about 10–12 hours. Inexperienced tourists are advised to join a guided hike for safety purposes as well as tips on what equipment to pack and what to expect along the journey. They should also make sure to check the weather conditions in advance, and be prepared for the possibility of changing conditions. Anyone making the trek will be rewarded with unforgettable views!
