The Salt Lake City Public Library is a vibrant mix of modern and classic, providing the perfect backdrop for exploration and discovery. Located right across from the City and County Building in downtown Salt Lake City, this library has been serving its community for over a century and counting! Visitors can explore the array of over 500,000 books, newspapers, magazines, and digital offerings, as well as 163 internet-capable computers. So profound is its presence and service that it received the prestigious “Library of the Year” award by Library Journal in 2006. Patrons can also enjoy the coffee shop, galleries featuring local artists, and public gardens within the building, making this a great destination to read, relax, research, or just take in the surrounding beauty of the Urban Room with its four fireplaces and five-story curved glass outer wall. The Salt Lake City Public Library is a mesmerizing testament to knowledge and learning, inspiring thought and meaningful conversations every day.
