The Gifford Homestead is a super special and totally delightful place to visit, nestled in the stunning Fruita valley of Capitol Reef National Park. This historic homestead has been carefully preserved since it was first built in 1908 and was home to multiple generations of families who settled in Utah. Today, you can explore the Gifford House, which has a charming barn, smokehouse, garden, pasture, and rock walls. Inside, you'll find super cool artifacts that give you a peek into the early Mormon homestead life. Don't miss the Pendleton Barn, which is like as old as the house itself and is now part of the Gifford Homestead. To make your visit complete, make sure to check out the locally made items you can buy and treat yourself to their famous pies and homemade ice cream. They are open seasonally from March 14th to November 25th, from 9am to 4pm, so be sure to get yourself some pie during that time!
